Northwest Health Care Linen

Summary

Perform daily maintenance functions to building and equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Follow all Northwest Health Care Linen programs as followed:
    • Bloodborne Pathogens
    • Exposure Control Plan
    • Personal Protection Equipment (Universals Precautions)
    • Safety Manual policies and procedures
    • Quality Assurance program
    • Time Management System and related programs
    • Employee handbook policies
    • Lock Out/Tag Out
  2. Perform daily/weekly/monthly duties as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor
  3. Carry NWHCL cellphone 24/7 on call if needed
  4. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to both building and equipment
  5. Ability to change and adapt to production schedules if equipment breaks down
  6. Work off production hours and weekends if needed
  7. Perform task(s) in a timely fashion for the least amount of disruption to production
  8. Troubleshoot equipment and make the appropriate decision to fix it in a timely manner
  9. Supply themselves with hand tools as outlined in NWHCL’s SOP “Tools and Equipment”
  10. Transfer chemicals from shipping containers into daily storage tanks
  11. Recognize areas that need improvement and report back to the Maintenance Supervisor
  12. Performs other duties as may be required by management

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the position successfully.

  • Must supply own small hand tools (up to ¾” wrenches; sockets; screwdrivers etc.)

  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of microprocessors and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC s)
  • Willingness to help others accomplish their objectives
  • Must be able to quickly understand new information and situations
  • Tolerates and understands personnel problems while working with personnel from different backgrounds

Education & Experience

  • High School or GED
  • College is a plus
  • 3 years of experience in related field
  • Electrical experience is required
  • Plumbing, welding and general carpentry a plus

Language Skills

Basic English is required.

Mathematical Skills

Basic mathematical skills needed.

Reasoning Ability

  • NWHCL Electrical Knowledge Test
  • NWHCL Mechanical Aptitude Test
  • Exercises sound judgment

None required.
